Before you compare

Where should you start?

Start with the pest you need addressed, then compare the visits, commitment and exclusions in each proposal. A monthly payment can cover quarterly visits; a one-time treatment can exclude the pest that prompted your search. This guide compares five companies with published Boise or Treasure Valley coverage. Use the table to identify terms that deserve a closer look, then confirm service at your exact address.

These are website-based comparisons, not quality rankings or treatment recommendations. We reviewed the cited pages on October 22, 2026. We have not booked treatments, tested results or independently checked credentials and insurance. The companies appear alphabetically, with missing terms left visible.

Which 5 companies are included?

Profiles appear alphabetically. This is a focused comparison of the reviewed source pool, not a complete directory of Boise providers. The points below describe company statements and practical questions for your own written proposal.

American Exterminator

Its one-time cleanup page names both included pests and important exclusions, making it a useful starting point for a defined, single-service request. [american-cleanup]

Worth asking about: Consider when you want a one-time option with a stated pest list.

What the company publishes

  • The page lists Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Kuna, Nampa and Caldwell coverage and offers quarterly and bi-monthly alternatives. [american-cleanup]
  • The cleanup advertises 30-day coverage but excludes ants, rodents, bed bugs, fleas and cockroaches. Pest-damage repairs are excluded. [american-cleanup]

What to confirm

  • Exact return-visit remedy and request process.
  • Written property scope, payment timing and current quote.

Armis Pest Management

Armis separates one-time, quarterly and spring/summer packages. The published return-visit periods differ between those options. [armis-pricing]

Worth asking about: Consider when you want to compare several schedules from one provider.

What the company publishes

  • Its pricing page names Boise and other Treasure Valley cities and says quoted starting prices depend on location and square footage. [armis-pricing]
  • One-time and spring/summer packages advertise 30 days; quarterly advertises 90. Returning pests prompt an inspection and necessary treatment without another charge, according to the page. [armis-pricing]

What to confirm

  • Included pest species and property boundaries.
  • Renewal, cancellation and full return-visit conditions.

Boise Pest Pros

The FAQ distinguishes general quarterly service from separately charged specialty work, including structural rodent exclusion. [boise-pest-faq]

Worth asking about: Consider when flexible recurring service is a priority.

What the company publishes

  • The Boise/Treasure Valley FAQ advertises no long-term commitment and allows customers to pause, skip or cancel. [boise-pest-faq]
  • Quarterly service includes exterior mouse baiting and between-visit retreatments. Rodent exclusion, mosquito, vole and flea/tick treatments are add-ons. [boise-pest-faq]

What to confirm

  • Notice requirements, refunds and treatment already billed.
  • One-time service return-visit terms and exclusions.

Capitol Pest Management

Capitol describes a residential seasonal program, distinct from the monthly and quarterly business programs elsewhere on its services page. [capitol-services]

Worth asking about: Consider when comparing seasonal scheduling with year-round support.

What the company publishes

  • Its Treasure Valley residential program schedules treatments during spring, summer and fall, with coverage for unexpected pest situations throughout the year. [capitol-services]
  • The page says residential agreements can be cancelled anytime without penalty. It discusses one-time service separately. [capitol-services]

What to confirm

  • Exact visit count, billing dates and included pests.
  • Return-visit conditions and cancellation procedure.

Pestcom Pest Management

Read the FAQ alongside the homepage's flexible-contract language: the standard agreement begins with a stated first-year commitment. [pestcom-plans]

Worth asking about: Consider when you want a defined quarterly schedule and can assess the first-year terms.

What the company publishes

  • Pestcom names Boise, Meridian, Nampa and nearby cities. It describes four annual visits, monthly billing and free between-visit re-services. [pestcom-plans]
  • The FAQ specifies a 12-month initial agreement. Afterwards cancellation has no fee; stated first-year exceptions include unresolved service concerns and certain out-of-area moves. [pestcom-plans]

What to confirm

  • Early cancellation amount outside stated exceptions.
  • Which specialty pests and services your agreement includes.

Making your shortlist

What should a monthly pest-control payment include?

Ask for the treatment calendar and payment calendar separately. Compare the initial visit, scheduled returns and unscheduled follow-ups as distinct items. Have the company explain what happens to billing when you skip a visit, pause service or cancel. A proposal should make the purchased service understandable without requiring you to infer it from a monthly figure.

  • Write down the visits included during the first year.
  • Ask whether a return visit changes the next scheduled treatment.

Making your shortlist

Which plan questions fit your situation?

Begin with the reason you are seeking help, rather than choosing the longest plan automatically. A single identified problem, recurring activity and a possible move each raise different contract questions. The examples below are comparison prompts, not assessments of your property or predictions about treatment results. Ask the provider to explain its proposed scope in writing.

  • One problem: request its exact pest name and whether it is excluded from general service.
  • Recurring activity: compare scheduled visits with the process for requesting additional attention.
  • Moving soon: establish notice, transfer rules and any first-year cancellation charge.

Making your shortlist

How should you compare coverage beyond the house?

List every structure and problem area you want evaluated, including the garage, shed and yard. Ask the provider to mark what the quoted plan includes and price any separate work individually. Keep pest treatment, entry-point sealing and damage repair as separate quote questions. Also confirm which branch serves your address before treating a broad Treasure Valley statement as a booking commitment.

Take this into your conversation

What should you ask before booking?

Ask each company to describe the same work and put its price, exclusions and applicable terms in writing. Keep the proposal with the final invoice so you can see what changed.

  • Identify the contracting business and exact service address.
  • List covered pests, excluded pests and separately priced work.
  • Record initial commitment, renewal, notice and cancellation charges.
  • Request written preparation and re-entry instructions for the proposed treatment.
  • Record return-visit eligibility and how to request it.

Research scope

What does this comparison establish?

We used public provider pages to compare advertised scope and terms. We have not hired these companies, inspected their work or obtained comparable quotes. Current registration, insurance and any route-specific authorization have not been independently confirmed. There are no paid placements in this publication.

Boise is the focus. A Treasure Valley service claim does not establish availability, travel charges or coverage at every nearby address. Confirm the contracting business and exact location directly. Publication of a term is evidence of what a company says, not proof of service quality.

  • This is a bounded five-company comparison, not a census of Boise providers or a quality ranking.
  • Published provider pages were reviewed on October 22, 2026. Advertised terms can change; confirm your written plan before booking.
  • Current authorization, insurance, contract identity, treatment performance and address-specific availability were not independently verified.
  • No provider was contacted, quoted, booked or tested for this guide.

Questions people ask

What else should you clarify?

Does monthly billing mean monthly treatment?

No. Pestcom explicitly describes monthly billing for four full services per year. Treat the payment schedule and visit schedule as different terms. Ask for both in your proposal, along with the first visit and any additional visits that are included. This comparison does not calculate an annual price from advertised monthly figures. [pestcom-plans]

Does a general pest plan include rodents?

Check the named service, not just the company's overall pest menu. American Exterminator excludes rodents from its one-time cleanup. Boise Pest Pros includes exterior mouse baiting in quarterly service but treats rodent exclusion as an add-on. Ask separately about inspection, baiting, entry-point work and follow-up visits for your specific request. [american-cleanup] [boise-pest-faq]

Can I cancel every recurring plan immediately?

The published terms differ. Capitol says its residential agreement can be cancelled without penalty; Pestcom describes an initial 12-month agreement followed by month-to-month service. Read your actual agreement before choosing. Ask how notice is recorded, when billing stops and whether any outstanding initial-service or cancellation charge remains. [capitol-services] [pestcom-plans]

Does a return-visit promise include damage repairs?

Do not assume it does. American Exterminator expressly excludes pest-damage repairs from its service agreement. Ask whether the proposed remedy is another inspection, additional treatment, a refund or repair work, and which conditions apply. This guide reports published terms; it has not tested how a provider resolves a claim. [american-cleanup]
